The olive colored beach pebble is framed with a fine silver bezel, open on both sides. This allows you to feel its smooth naturally tumbled surface on both sides. Each of the beach pebble necklaces are accompanied by a raw silver nugget. This nugget is made by melting silver scraps until they congeal into a roundish form. I soldered small pieces of sterling silver tube to the top of the silver nugget and beach pebble bezel so they can seamlessly slide onto the sterling silver chain. Because of their volume, the two pieces don't overlap, but sit side by side on the chain. I love the pairing of the rough silver and the beach pebble because they are both created by natural forces of earth- fire and water. While the beach pebble takes thousands of waves to form its smooth surface, the silver nugget only takes minutes to congeal and form. The olive beach pebble is about 1" long. The chain is 18"
